A hunt built
with you.
Hub 4 is a treasure hunt through Melbourne. The weekly version is a race — first to find the token wins the money — and a race doesn't suit everyone.
So we're designing a different one: same city, same tokens, none of the hurry. This page is a waiting list for it, and an open question. We'd rather build it with NDIS participants than build it and hope.
BEING STRAIGHT WITH YOU
This programme doesn't exist yet. Hub 4 is not a registered NDIS provider, and we make no claim that any of this can be paid for from a plan. Joining the list costs nothing and commits you to nothing — it tells us there's something worth building, and lets us ask you what it should look like.
What we're thinking
Early ideas, not promises. Every one of them should be argued with.
NO CLOCK
Take the week
The token stays where it is. Find it on Tuesday or find it a fortnight later — it counts the same, and nobody beats you to it.
ACCESS FIRST
Routes that work
Step-free approaches, tokens at a reachable height, near toilets and a place to sit, and close to a tram or train rather than a hill.
BRING YOUR PEOPLE
Support workers welcome
Come with a support worker, a family member, or a group. Nothing about this needs doing alone.
PICK YOUR PACE
Quiet or busy
Some people want a Saturday laneway full of noise. Some want a quiet park on a weekday morning. Both should be on offer.
CLUES THAT FIT
Read it your way
Clues in plain language, read aloud, or with a photo instead of a riddle — whichever gets you there.
SOMETHING TO WIN
Still worth doing
Not a cash race, but not a participation certificate either. What's worth winning is one of the things we want to ask you.
Tell us what
would help
Whether you're a participant, family, a support coordinator or another provider — if you can see how this should work, we want to hear it.
You can email instead if that's easier: support@hub4.au.

The weekly hunt
The main game is running now — $25 a month, a new clue each week, and cash for whoever finds the token first. It involves walking to a place in Melbourne and photographing what you find there, against the clock.
